چکیده

Background Recent studies demonstrated that Rb PET-derived myocardial perfusion reserve has a significant prognostic impact on the prediction of cardiac events in patients assessed for myocardial ischemia. Regional myocardial ischemia and late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) defined by cardiac MR imaging are also reported as significant prognosticators for future cardiac events. However, the prognostic value of coronary flow reserve (CFR) obtained by MR flow measurement remains uncertain. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prognostic value of CFR determined by phase contrast cine MR imaging of the coronary sinus in patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease (CAD).

Prognostic significance of coronary flow reserve assessed by MR flow measurement in the coronary sinus in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

Background Previous studies using positron emission tomography demonstrated that decrease in global coronary flow reserve (CFR) predisposes to major cardiac events in patients with coronary artery disease. However, the value of MR assessment of CFR has not been clarified for predicting future cardiac events in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). The purpose of this study was to evaluate a progno...

Estimation of coronary flow reserve by transesophageal coronary sinus Doppler measurements in patients with syndrome X and patients with significant left coronary artery disease.

OBJECTIVES This study sought to determine the feasibility of coronary sinus flow velocity analysis by transesophageal Doppler echocardiography for estimation of coronary flow reserve in patients with syndrome X and patients with coronary artery disease. BACKGROUND Coronary flow reserve provides useful information in patients with coronary artery disease and patients with syndrome X. Current m...

نقش بررسی عملکرد آندوتلیوم عروق به روش پاسخ به تغییر میزان جریان خون (Flow mediated Dilatation) در تشخیص آرتریواسکلروز کرونر در بیماران با ریسک فاکتور کم

Background and purpose: Flow-mediated dilatation (FMD) measurement in brachial artery (BA) is a method of assessing endothelial cell function and predicting atherosclerotic coronary artery disease. We investigated the predictive value of FMD for the presence of coronary artery disease (CAD) in a low-risk group of patients. Materials and methods: A prospective study was performed in 397 p...

Imaging Improved Cardiac Risk Assessment With Noninvasive Measures of Coronary Flow Reserve

Background—Impaired vasodilator function is an early manifestation of coronary artery disease and may precede angiographic stenosis. It is unknown whether noninvasive assessment of coronary vasodilator function in patients with suspected or known coronary artery disease carries incremental prognostic significance. Methods and Results—A total of 2783 consecutive patients referred for rest/stress...
